Kellen Yamanaka is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music producer. He draws inspiration from the sonic worlds of jazz, rock, electronic, noise, classical, ambient, and Brazilian music.

Currently, he's the drummer for Alternate Weekends, a rock band based in Providence, Rhode Island.

As a composer for film, he has written and recorded scores for The Lovely Rejects, A Day As Holly's Kids, and My Friends Do Not Move (films written and directed by Judy Phu). While studying music theory and composition at the University of Pennsylvania, his piece Violin Duo was awarded the David Halstead Music Prize for Best Original Composition.
